Sunday Setlist - May 31, 2009

Well for those of you that noticed, I am back on the Blog Carnival over at Fred McKinnon’s site.  I still posted my set list but was wiped out by the time that I got sunday-setlists1
back home…so I didn’t link it to the Mr. Linky thing! At any rate…we had a fairly good day today at worship.  We have recently been having trouble with absenteeism lately and it continued on this weekend.  We had two singers out, one of which is our co-lead.  It wasn’t the fact that she wasn’t there that caused the problems, it was the fact that she didn’t call and let anyone know that she wasn’t going to make it!  So, since she was leading on 3  out of 6 songs, we had to change our entire set list around!

At any rate, we soldiered on at got through it, although it wasn’t our best  in the least! And our old/ex campus pastor gave today’s message on “Building A Hedge”.

Tribulation works patience…blowing out and not telling anyone works patience into the worship leader, eh? Our early service is very lightly attended, very casual, and usually late in starting. Our backup vocalist slid in about 2 minutes into the welcome. I was glad to see her. Better late than not at all. And we’re to process all that while hearing the Holy Spirit and discerning what direction to take. That’s why we get the big bucks. Thanks for sharing.

    Unfun!

We had our first uninformed absenteeism (for our PM service) in literally years this weekend. But I didn’t even mention it because before I even knew, another of our keyboardists had stepped in. But it’s taken a lot of years to develop a team culture where that just happens - living Christ in all things.

I’m sure God was glorified through it all :)
